Our first store opened on Tuesday 14th November 1944.
The above van, our very first, was all that was available at the time, previously a milkman’s van it was an Austin 10 with a slipping clutch but served its purpose for the first few years.

Our stand at The Trade and Manufacturers Exhibition held in Vivary Park, Taunton, August 3rd-10th 1947.
In the late 50’s the shop front was given an update and a new grey and black colour scheme.
